ORFA Developing a Post COVID-19 Facilities Operational Business Plan

Wednesday, April 22, 2020, Online

The ORFA has been “Building Community Since 1947” and is committed to building that same community while facing the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Now more than ever, the need to share current, timely and applicable information related to the pandemic and other recreation facility operations is paramount to moving forward. The ORFA has always been forward thinking as a leading edge advocate for education, professional development and accreditation. In order to move past the pandemic,  a Member Toolbox section has been developed on ORFA.COM collecting and categorizing many pieces of information about the pandemic. This webinar will provide an overview of the following subjects that will drive our industry post COVID-19: Updates and membership discussion; The future of facility staff training and certification; Improved facility housekeeping and disinfection; Facility revenue generation and recovery; Health and safety; Risk management

All information with the exception of certification are offered at no cost to ORFA members. Once complete, proactive members will have the necessary information and tools to develop a detailed operational business plan. The plan will assist in meeting the needs and expectations of our users. Especially as they return to typical recreation amenities including parks, playgrounds, sports fields, pools, halls and ice facilities. Together, lets help “flatten the curve” while getting ready to re-open safely.

The webinar will conclude with a Q&A that will allow members to engage and source direction on how the ORFA can better serve you during and post COVID-19 pandemic.

This session is also applicable to the ORFA Professional Designation Recertification process as described at https://orfa.com/page-1862817, under section (A) Personal Professional Development (You) Successful completion of learning activities (classroom or online): ORFA professional events; College/University credit/non-credit courses; Federal, Provincial, Municipal courses, certifications, workshops; Conferences, symposiums, workshops, webinars, etc.
