Welcome to ORFA Information and Skills Development Coordinator

The Ontario Recreation Facilities Association (ORFA) is proud to announce that following an open and competitive selection process, Brad Putnam is welcomed as the new Information and Skills Development Coordinator.

Brad will join an existing staff team to focus on monitoring, sourcing, developing and maintaining relevant information that is impacting the recreation facilities sector and/or ORFA members. This will be accomplished by, but not limited to, drafting and/or maintaining Alerts, Technical Bulletins, Best Practice Guidelines, Facility Forum magazine articles, in-class or online professional development course materials, technical demonstration workshops, webinars, and/or podcast materials.

He joins the ORFA from the City of Peterborough, where he served in a management capacity since 2017 and via the City of Burlington where he transitioned from intern to coordinator and analyst positions since 2011.  With a Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies from Brock University and a variety of industry skills and qualifications, including the current Chair of the Kawartha Lakes Arena Managers Association and ORFA Task Team Member, Brad brings both proven research and analytical skills with practical industry skills and knowledge.
