    On Sunday, January 5, 2022, Stewart (Duddy) Barr, age 98 of Sarnia passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice. He was the loving husband of the late Carol Barr (1985) and dear father of Bonnie Baas (Cass) and Ron Barr, , grandfather of Kelly Ryan (Jennifer), Blake (Arielle), Amanda Lobb, Tyler Pettman, great-grandfather of Owen, Declan, Jersey, Adalynn, Molly, Bodhi, Griffin and Archer, brother of Bill Barr and Charlotte Sterritt. He was predeceased by his parents Stewart and Jean, his daughter Cheryl Barr, son Tim Barr and his sister Jane and his niece Charlene Young.
    Duddy served during WWII with the Royal Canadian Navy on the Corvette HMCS Edmondson. After the war Duddy started work with Silverwoods Dairy and ended working as a Stationary Engineer with Point Edward, Briarwood and Clearwater Arenas the past 30 years before his retirement.
    Duddy loved sports and was the Captain of the Sarnia Beavers Lacrosse team which he started with his good buddy Gordie Haddon in 1953. He was the SMAA Lacrosse and Hockey Convenor for 12 years and played football for 3 years with the Sarnia Wanderers. He was inducted into the Sarnia-Lambton Sports Hall of Fame in 1984.
    Charitable donation made to St. Joseph’s Hospice or the Sarnia/Lambton Sports Hall of Fame would be appreciated by the family. Private arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J.
